Lever Fixed Pad

Of the many uPVC door joiners, the lever pad handle has the most interesting design configuration. One side of the door features a lever handle while the other has a fixed decorative plate or “pad” without spindle access. UK locksmiths often use it with keywind locks where the outside must not have a lever. It’s perfect in entrance doors where you want inside lever operation but only key access on the outside. This design gives your door a more aesthetic look. You’ll see lever fixed pads on communal doors, too, including some external doors where outward spindle access must be avoided.

We offer the Winkhaus Palladio for its robust construction and exquisite design. If you’re on a budget, we recommend Hoppe’s Atlanta (which you can get for under £25) yet still retain your door’s optimum security against burglars.

The design of lever fixed pads stemmed from the diversification of locking standards, allowing property owners to meet increasingly strict security and access requirements. Today, you’ll see these handles on external doors with multipoint locks. At Locks & Handles we are ever-ready to supply locksmiths and tradespeople with these top-notch security items.
