Avocet Multipoint Door Lock Spindle Shank

This is an Avocet replacement spindle shank, or follower. The most common part to fail on Avocet Multipoint Door Lock gearboxes, is the spindle follower itself. This follower, sometimes known as a “shank” is the cast metal cam with an 8mm square piercing through it which accomodates the lever spindle. Often, this component can crack through at the corners and pieces can break away. this usually results in drooping and noperable lever handles. This can be as a result of mis-use, or damge over time. 

If this part has failed in your existing avocet gearbox, It can be replaced with one of these replacement spindle shanks. The process of swapping the damaged spindle shank for this new unit is very simple, and can extend the life of the existing mechanism.

Both top (92mm PZ) and bottom (62mm PZ) followers share the same shank design, so this part can be used to replace either a top or a bottom follower. They are sold in singles, so if both existing followers are damaged you will require 2 units.
